Connecticut I/DD Services (Intellectual and Developmental Disability)
Abilities Without Boundaries (AWB) offers Connecticut I/DD services. We care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Headquartered in Cheshire, we serve more than a dozen surrounding towns. For more than 40 years we have been working to make a real difference in the lives of adults who find themselves in difficult circumstances through no fault of their own. We provide employment services and day support programs for adults ages 22 to 80.
Mission
Abilities Without Boundaries helps people achieve independence, self-sufficiency, community participation and personal satisfaction through employment and day support services.
Vision
Abilities Without Boundaries creates programs and operations reflecting our organization’s passion for empowering those with disabilities to uncover and pursue their dreams. We believe “the possibilities are endless.” High expectations and equally high levels of support and encouragement lead to excellence. AWB strives for excellence in leadership, education, advocacy, quality and service. AWB provides customer service providing our business partners with outstanding support, quality work and clear communication. We demonstrate the true potential of our individuals to achieve beyond expectations.

History
Since 1978, Abilities Without Boundaries has helped individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) lead a more productive and fulfilling life. In 2011, we changed our name from Cheshire Occupational & Career Opportunities (COCO) to Abilities Without Boundaries. The name change reflects our continually expanding impact throughout the state. What began with a few concerned parents has blossomed into an organization with more than 50 employees, all sharing a deep and profound respect for the individuals we serve. For 40 years, we have been helping to make a difference throughout Connecticut.
