About AWB

Our History

Since 1978, Abilities Without Boundaries has helped individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead a more productive and fulfilling life.  In 2011, we changed our name from Cheshire Occupational & Career Opportunities (COCO) to Abilities Without Boundaries and continued expanding our impact throughout the state. What began with a few concerned parents has blossomed into an organization with more than 50 employees, all sharing a deep and profound respect for the individuals we serve.  For 40 years, we have been helping to make a difference throughout Connecticut.

Abilities Without Boundaries helps people achieve independence, self-sufficiency, community participation and personal satisfaction through employment and day support services.

Abilities Without Boundaries envisions programs and operations that reflect the organization’s passion for empowering those with disabilities to uncover and pursue their dreams.   High expectations and equally high levels of support and encouragement lead to excellence.  AWB strives for excellence in leadership, education, advocacy, quality and service. AWB envisions customer service that provides businesses with outstanding support, quality work, and clear communication that demonstrate the true potential of our individuals to achieve beyond expectations.
