At Abilities Without Boundaries (AWB) we believe in endless possibilities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
These amazing, wonderful people want to work, contribute and participate. Some struggle with even the most basic functions of life. Others just need a bit of guidance, job training and a place to be. Providing support, Monday through Friday also provides respite for parents and caregivers.
For 44 years AWB has helped disabled adults ages 21 to 80 live better, happier and more productive lives. We proudly serve Cheshire and surrounding towns. We provide individual and group employment opportunities, promote workplace diversity and offer social and developmental services.

Help Give Them Voice!
Nearly half the individuals we serve have speech and communications challenges. Some are nonverbal. There are tools and therapies available. However funding for these is not covered by our state support. We turn instead to our sponsors and donors to help us help our individuals better express themselves. We are fundraising for speech tablets, training cards, speech therapy, sign language instruction and other tools. Will you help unlock their thoughts? Can we count on you?
Here’s a Fun and Fulfilling Way to Help
Our Hot COCO 5K race and Kids Fun Run is Abilities Without Boundaries’ single biggest annual fundraiser.
We expect more than 1,000 participants, runners, kids, walkers plus their families, supporters and friends.
Sponsor early to be included in our promotional emails, social media shares and more!
Prior to race day our event is professionally promoted by JB Sports to thousands of runners across the state. This year they will send extra email blasts. Each one reaches more than 8,500 area residents.
