LeAndre leads our team at Abilities Without Boundaries with an impressive resume and deep experience as an advocate for all people. He was Clinical Director at a nonprofit serving the Greater Bridgeport area where he was responsible for overseeing and developing numerous programs supporting individuals with mental health concerns. Passionate in giving back to his community, he volunteers as a mentor for at-risk youth. He has more than 15 years of experience in the human services field working with state funded, nonprofit agencies similar to AWB. He continues to grow our organization, providing positive support for our staff and the individuals we serve. LeAndre obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of Connecticut.

Ashley manages all our Day Services Programs, working with the CT Department of Disability Services. She joins the Abilities Without Boundaries team with an extensive background working in DDS and DCF funded agencies, including Meriden BOE, ACES and Ben Haven. With more than 12 years of experience, she is enthusiastic and devoted to serving individuals with various diagnoses, including intellectual disabilities and physical limitations. Ashley takes pride in assisting our population by being an advocate and instructor, and she is dedicated to fulfilling AWB’s mission. Her skill set in her current role includes ensuring implementation of DDS and AWB policies and practices, encouraging individuals’ grown and program development, supporting the planning and coordination of programs, maintaining timely communications amongst the team and fostering positive relations within the team and with external providers. Ashley acts as a liaison to DDS and strives for the successful inclusion of every individual served at AWB.

Having once worked at a nonprofit in Waterbury, Pamela wanted to again be part of an organization where she could give back to the local community. Her extensive accounting and bookkeeping experience includes large corporations like Southland Company (7-11 stores) and most recently Consolidated Industries, a worldwide manufacturer. Pamela is familiar with the mission of organizations like AWB through her personal journey with a daughter who successfully overcame a disability.

Amanda started her career in 2005 as personal assistant to Kay Wyrick, former community activist of Waterbury, CT and founder of the Pride Cultural Center. Then in 2011, Amanda worked her way up from desk agent to Front Office Supervisor at Courtyard by Marriott Hotels. That frontline customer service experience supports her current position of finding job opportunities for individuals served by Abilities Without Boundaries. She began her journey with AWB in July 2016 as the interim Administrative Assistant. She was promoted to Business Manager in 2019. During 2020 she took a job as an investigator for the State of Connecticut. Then in 2021 she rejoined AWB as Career Services Coordinator. Amanda has a great love for the individuals in our care. She is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management.

Tashira joins the Abilities Without Boundaries team with more than 14 years of experience in Human Services leadership. She has extensive experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and managing non-profit organizations across the state of  Connecticut. She is passionate for servicing the DDS population and others in need. Tashira specializes in behavioral and Therap, LLC supports. Tashira comes to AWB with 6 years in a leadership and quality assurance experience. She has her bachelor’s degree in Social Science and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Administration at Albertus Magnus College.

Eric comes to Abilities Without Boundaries with 20 years of experience in human services. He has a strong background implementing program systems and achieving outcomes. Eric started his career as a substance abuse counselor with a nonprofit program.  He then helped create Jay Brothers Unified Resource Center, a program supporting individuals returning home from prison, providing resources they need to be viable in their communities. Eric was also instrumental in spearheading a reentry program for Bridgeport Mayor Joseph Gamin’s administration. Eric continues to serve as a mentor providing structure and guidance in the lives of at-risk youth. At AWB Eric will continue his lifelong advocacy supporting the individuals we serve.
